Softball Politics has considered the threat that Iran poses to countries in the Middle East and around the world on many occasions during the past ten years. The conclusion has always been to fight back against the criminal and murderous efforts of Iran and abandonment of futile efforts to make peace with the ayatollahs.

I was against a nuclear treaty, which enabled the ayatollahs to complete their research and development for a weapon of mass destruction (in spite of a long-standing policy to prevent Iran developing a WMD). Many people have expressed the same feelings as I have about the dastardly objectives of the rogue state, yet the Biden administration has done nothing to incentivize Iran to give up its nuclear aspirations.   

Biden has foolishly canceled or failed to enforce sanctions by Trump against Iran that effectively bankrupted Iran. This inaction has resulted in tremendous cash flow to the rogue state in the form of oil revenues and release of usurped funds, which have been used by the corrupt government to terrorize its enemies including Sunni Arab countries, the US and of course Israel.

Recently leaders of Iran have been colluding with terrorist allies to kill American politicians and officeholders. Many people in the know believe that the recent attempts to kill Donald Trump have been financed and/or fostered by Iran. In the meantime, congressional committees are solely focused on whether the Secret Service is performing its role to protect our leaders. Not enough attention has been given to the WMDs that are being built.

The people who are critical of Israeli actions against Hamas and Hezbollah are misguided. The Israeli people are fighting to protect their democracy and provide security for its people. Given the diabolical tactics employed by Iran to destroy the State of Israel, collateral damage is to be expected. Terrorists use innocent people as shields. They are in a crossfire occupying buildings which house soldiers and weapons.

The time is drawing near when the US will be swept into direct confrontation with Iran. We must destroy terrorist organizations and the countries that support them so the region might enjoy peace in the future. The US should use this opportunity to put to rest the threat being directed at Israel by Iran and its allies.

All efforts by Iran and its allies to disrupt the Middle East should be met with commensurate military force by the US. War is inevitable with Iran.
